Hello folks,

How many of you in Domaining business get frustrated by the big domain auctioneers? Me, yes. I am fed up with them. Thus I have planed to develop an Domain Listing site. Domainers will have the chance to list their domains for free.

To maintain the quality of the domains listed all submissions will be handpicked before listing.

Now what is great about this? Let me tell you that.

First of all there is no middle man to meddle around your trading. I will publish your e-mail along with the domain name. so if anyone interested can contact the seller directly. Seller and buyer agrees on sales terms and closes it.

I had to do this after I see a lots of auction sites charge for listing directly or indirectly. Take SEDO, they allow you to list for free, but when a sale is made, then you got to pay. GBP 100 sale will net you on 80. 25% lost for what?

Do they actively promote your domain? No. Do they find buyers for your domain? No.

So why the heck pay them? That’s the reason behind the new site called SigmaNames.com

Have fun, I am going behind the coding and hope to release the beta version in 3 weeks time.

Both names are on auction until August 13th 2009. The reserve price for sex.co.uk is ½ million to a million and 50 k to 100 k for SexTV.com

According to the current bidding, this stands at 75 k for SexTV.com and 25500 for Sex.co.uk, the dot com rules as always.

We should remember that sex.com sold for around 7 million. Why so much less for a UK domain?

Generally speaking people think of .com as the default extension. This keeps the peak price for dot com. This is to change in the near future as statistics shows that many prefer ccTLD (country code Top Level Domain. Such as .de, .ch, .co.uk) compare to TLD (Top Level Domain such as .com, .org, .net).

In long term sex.co.uk will bring in more ROI than SexTV.com.

Note that Sex.tv will have a higher value than SexTV.com

Got some millions lying around and don’t know what to do? Why not place a bid on sex.co.uk or SexTV.com?
