FireFox 3 is here!

Since I switched from Internet Explorer to FireFox approximately 2 years ago, I will never get back to IE. The FF is Open Source Software which means you can get the source code and do what ever you want with it (including cutting, pasting, kicking, stumbling and boxing).

It is developed by top notch talents from around the world. They develop in their spare time.

I am using the new version since its release on 17th of June. It is very stable. There are couple of flows found in the code and will be fixed in days. The updates can be automated to have your browser up-to-date! Since this is developed by many around the world, the patch comes out faster than any other browser developing team.

There are many new features with this new release. One to mention: search results with in address bar. It will definitely take time to start using this feature to its optimum. But, the innovative taken by the FF team is greatly appreciable.

Folks, my web server log indicate that many of you still uses FireFox version 1. I beg you; please update it to FireFox 3. There are many security fixes done with major revisions. To surf safer & secure, it is best to update now.

Is your web browser up to date?

Recent analysis through web server’s log indicates 15% of the visitors to my site use Firefox version 1.0 and 16% use IE 6.0. Are you one of them? My advise, update immediately. – Prevention is better than cure -

There are many security fixes done to both browsers in Firefox version 2 and IE version 7.

I prefer Firefox over IE. I use the web browser over 12 hours a day, mainly in development environment. Firefox is an open source project developed under General Public License (GPL), thus you can download it free of charge or any other commitment. Currently Firefox enjoys 30% of the market and its user base growing rapidly. Firefox version 3.0 is under beta testing.

It cost you nothing to keep your web browser up to date.

Firefox 2 is FREE. Get your copy now.
